The property housing a busy Dulux trade centre and a national-brand auto service centre is up for sale in a commanding town centre location in Auckland’s Silverdale.

The more than 1000-square-metre site on Agency Lane backs directly onto the Hibiscus Coast Highway, offering excellent exposure, traffic and connectivity. It is fully leased to iconic paint retailer DuluxGroup and long-established local operator Auto Super Shoppe Silverdale – generating a total net rental return of $144,000 plus outgoings and GST per annum.

DuluxGroup occupies its approximately 222-square-metre Silverdale premises, with seven dedicated car parks, on a current lease that runs through to 2026 with a further two-year right of renewal.

Established in New Zealand in 1939, DuluxGroup has grown into one of Australasia’s top suppliers of paints and coatings for homeowners and trade professionals. The group operates some of Australia’s and New Zealand’s most recognised and trusted brands, including Dulux, Selleys, Yates, Cabot’s and British Paints.

An adjoining tenancy of some 290 square metres with 10 car parks is leased to locally-owned Auto Super Shoppe Silverdale. The business provides automotive servicing to motorists across the wider Silverdale area and beyond. It forms part of a nationwide chain of around 120 Auto Super Shoppes.

The Agency Lane service centre lease runs to 2028 with two further three-year rights of renewal.

The freehold land and buildings at 5 Agency Lane, Silverdale, Auckland, are being offered for sale through Graeme Perigo and Alex Perigo of Bayleys Silverdale.

The property will be sold by deadline private treaty closing on Wednesday 29 October, unless it is sold prior.

The approximately 512 square metres of buildings across two adjoining units are underpinned by some 1,071 square metres of freehold land.

Graeme Perigo said the site’s town centre position, backing directly onto Hibiscus Coast Highway, the area’s main arterial, made it highly accessible with standout exposure to passing traffic.

Business - Town Centre zoning under the Auckland Unitary Plan supports wide-ranging commercial, residential and mixed-use possibilities and a high level of intensification.

“This zoning typically permits multistorey development up to a height of 18 metres, subject to consent.

“In Silverdale, this supports the property’s long-term investment security while offering flexibility for future redevelopment in a rapidly growing trade and retail hub,” said Graeme Perigo.

Alex Perigo said the property and tenants reaped significant benefits from being in the heart of one of Auckland’s fastest-growing commercial and trade precincts.

“This area’s burgeoning population, with major residential development unfolding across Millwater, Milldale and the wider Hibiscus Coast, provides an ever stronger local catchment.

“This, plus a rich trade-based tenancy mix, and a position handy to the Northern Motorway, Hibiscus Coast Highway and Northern Busway, ensures Silverdale is perennially in demand among investors and occupiers,” Alex Perigo said.
